New Art Opening: Visions of the Abstract - The Jerusalem Series by Haim Mizrahi

The Art Gallery at Center For Jewish Life in Sag Harbor is pleased to announce the opening of art exhibit "Visions of the Abstract - The Jerusalem Series" by artist Haim Mizrahi at our Center For Jewish Life, 36 West Water St, Sag Harbor NY. The art will be on display through Dec. 5th.

The Jerusalem Series is a body of abstract artwork created by East Hampton artist Haim Mizrahi during an extended stay in Jerusalem. The work was inspired by the city's ancient and modern contrasting forces and are harmonized in a contemporary form in the artist's work.

Haim Mizrahi, born in Israel, attended school for physical rehabilitation. After having served in the Army, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1983, and has been a resident of East Hampton ever since. He is passionate about music, painting and poetry. Mizrahi spent five years from 1989 through 1994, studying with artist Siv Cedering, and seven years, 2003 through 2010 with Alan Planz. Mizrahi enjoyed the mentorship of Steve Romm, and the late artist Michael Knigin.
